Lauletta’s sixth 300-yard passing game this season made him the Spiders’ all-time leader in passing yards and became the first 9,000-yard passer in school history.
The Richmond defense shone, forcing a season-high six turnovers while collecting five sacks and seven tackles for loss.
Gordon Collins got the Spiders (4-2, 2-1) on the board in the first quarter, running 31 yards for the score to cap a four-play, 74-yard drive. Lauletta hit Wilkins from 15-yards out and Griffin Trau added a 25-yard field goal to make it 17-0 at intermission.
Aidan O’Neill connected on a 21-yard field goal to get Towson on the board, but Lauletta answered with a 3-yard pass to Wilkins to cap the scoring midway through the fourth quarter.
