BOSTON (AP) — An unearthed college application for John F. Kennedy Jr. doesn’t seek any favors for being the former president’s son.
The New York Post’s Page Six reports Kennedy’s 1978 application to Brown University in Rhode Island is among a collection of documents up for auction online.
The application was filled out by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis while her son was in Kenya and says only that his father was in “government.”
The former first lady wrote in a later letter it would have been harmful to seek special treatment for her children.
The documents are being auctioned on the website MomentsInTime.com with a listed price of $85,000. They come from the estate of an administrator at Brown.
Kennedy graduated from Brown in 1983. He died in a plane crash in 1999.
