LIHUE — Despite a late-afternoon deluge, things were looking good for the Kapaa High School homecoming at Vidinha Stadium. The junior varsity Warriors had locked up an 18-2 win over Kauai High School, and the score was locked at a 0-0 deadlock.
Homecoming King, wearing the No. 58 jersey of the Warriors, Justin Paleka was joined by Homecoming Queen April Barnes, escorted onto the field by Kaenen Lacaden to reign over the night’s festivities which featured the Kapaa High School Warrior band under the baton of Catherine Paleka and the convoy of specially-decorated golf carts.
Hailey Daligdig donned the crown of Miss Warrior, and Taylor Relacion reigned as Miss Touchdown. Kela Wood wore the banner of Miss Victory, and Erica Elterman was Miss Spirit.
Class representatives included Nevaeh Arruda-Kapu for the Class of 2018, Hannah Collins-Doijode heralding the Class of 2019. Ava Gutierrez led the Class of 2020 and Lily Cummings represented the freshman Class of 2021.
