The Young Womens Christian Association of Kauai presents the Girlz Zone Leadership Camp Oct. 9 through 13 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Lydgate Beach Park.
The YWCA invites girls ages 9 to 16 to participate in its leadership day camp during the public school fall break.
They will be volunteering at different organizations to serve the community, visiting the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Poipu, Puakea Assisted Living Center, Kauai Juice Company and Kauai Food Bank.
The camp is designed to empower young girls by having them participate in service projects that help develop their leadership skills. There is no cost and lunch is provided.
