LIHUE — Oceanfront Sotheby’s International Realty has acquired yet another Kauai real estate brokerage.
The realty company has merged the Kauai offices of Century 21 All Islands into its ‘ohana.
“They approached us, and we thought that it was a good fit, so we could better serve our islandwide clients,” said Donna Apisa, president and CEO.
After almost five months of deliberation, the deal adds nearly 40 agents, a South Shore location, and more than $100 million in annual production, an indication of the firm’s continued growth on Kauai.
“Words cannot express how thrilled I am to be joining the Sotheby’s International Realty brand,” said Greg Bloss, the previous Broker in Charge of Century 21 All Islands. “This merger comes at a perfect time and will be extremely beneficial to our clients and agents.”
Just last year, Oceanfront became a Sotheby’s International Realty franchise and added the former Sleeping Giant Sotheby’s International Realty in Lihue and O’Connor Realty in Kilauea to its domain.
“Having island-wide offices in Princeville, Kilauea, Lihue and Koloa, our agents are able to work most efficiently and effectively,” Apisa said. “It’s all about providing utmost quality service to our clients.”
The firms’ top management includes Chadd White and Bloss, who are joined by fellow brokers-in-charge Debra Blachowiac, Ross Martineau, Jim O’Connor, Paula O’Very-Saylor, Louis LaFratta and Trudy Vella.
“We definitely feel it is going to tremendously impactful to us as a company,” said White, vice president of sales. “With the deal, we have onboarded some of Kauai’s most successful real estate agents, who have years of experience.”
Now the qualified staff of realtors helping Kauai home buyers and sellers consists of nearly 90 experienced real estate agents.
“We’re better positioned to service the entire island of Kauai now that we’ve connected, or linked, our North Shore operations all the way down to the South Shore,” White said. “With a presence on both the shores, we’re better equipped to service buyers and sellers islandwide.”
The Oceanfront Sotheby’s International Realty team is part of a network of nearly 20,000 brand-affiliated independent sales associates in more than 800 offices in 75 countries and territories worldwide.
“We are merging the Oceanfront and the Century 21 offices, so that we can be more efficient,” Apisa said. “We will have realtors who specialize in all areas of the island to better equip them…and our agents on the south side could also help west side clients.”
The acquisition positions Oceanfront Sotheby’s International as the largest real estate brokerage on Kauai.
“Our goal isn’t to be the biggest, it’s to be the best,” White said. “We can serve up our listings to a very engaged international audience better than any real estate company on Kauai.”
According to White, the company plans to continue providing tools for its agents to perfect their art dialing in processes and procedures.
“Our exclusive relationships with media giants such as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Mansions Global and Architectural Digest give us a platform to expose our listings to an international audience,” added White. “For a locally rooted company, our reach is global.”
Although its scope is international, the brokerage firm continues to be an active partner in the local community, supporting Habitat For Humanity, YWCA, Kauai Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Charity First, school organizations, Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge, and numerous charitable groups.
“The whole foundation of the company is built on high ethical standards and doing the right thing,” Apisa added.
