LIHUE — Erick Luxm, National Tropical Botanical Garden horticulture manager, will challenge common notions of tropical gardening at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Kauai Community College cafeteria.
Luxm will discuss how to garden with nature rather than against it. Participants will broaden their knowledge of plants suitable for landscaping and home gardens on Kauai no matter what the micro-climate, and learn how to responsibly introduce exciting, new plants to gardens.
The free program is part of the NTBG-KCC public lecture series, “Seeds of Thought.”
