KOLOA — The Breadfruit Institute at the National Tropical Botanical Garden is seeking agroforestry volunteers to help implement a new, global model in sustainable and regenerative agriculture at the Breadfruit Research Orchard in McBryde Garden.
Volunteers are sought from 8 a.m. to noon Fridays.
The volunteer position is best suited for someone interested in learning about regenerative, sustainable agriculture practices. They’ll be working outdoors and be exposed to the elements. Volunteers must anticipate walking on uneven soil surfaces and standing for periods of up to two hours without a break. Physical motions may include reaching, bending, pulling, stretching and lifting.
