The Garden Island Motorcycle Club held its 63rd annual Labor Day Hare and Hound race Saturday in Anahola.
More than 100 dirt bikers competed in the contest, in which racers went along a 39-mile course of mountain terrain and gathered checks along the way.
Contestants competed in divisions varying by skill level within two classes: an A class (expert) and a B class (intermediate). Results depend on how many checks a rider collected and how long it took them to complete the course.
The race’s results were announced at the event’s banquet and awards ceremony Sunday at Smith’s Tropical Paradise in Wailua.
Cory Graffunder of California was the A class overall winner, followed by Kauai’s Grayson Gonsalves and Chris Satterfield.
Kauai’s Ryan Nakamura won the top prize of the B overall class, followed by Justin Donios of Kauai and Lokahi Wade of Oahu.
