LIHUE — Resource for Christian Spirituality, based on Kauai, recently launched an online Bible study community. The study is based on the book, “We Make the Road By Walking” by author Brian McLaren.
The community will be hosted by the Rev. Dr. Phyllis Meighen, director of ReSource for Christian Spirituality.
“This is going to be an exciting project and experiment in community and in stretching ourselves,” she said.
The weekly study will run for 52 weeks. People can join anytime.
The Rev. Rennie Mau, a consultant and media producers on the project, said the study will “literally will take you from Genesis to Revelation, offering a different paradigm for learning.”
In the Facebook private group, a short video message by Dr. Meighen will be posted every Monday. You may watch the video at any time during the week and then join the Facebook group for interactive discussion. One must ask to join the private group.
“Basically we can talk story together in a community from anywhere in the world, and we’re happy that the people of Kauai can be the piko (belly button) from which we share,” Mau said.
