KILAUEA — Artist Patrick Ching is raising money for the Kilauea Point Natural History Association.
“In 1984, on my first day at Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, I had the honor of banding the first two albatross on Kauai, with Dan Moriarty at Mokolea Point,” he wrote. “This Saturday from 3:30 to 6 p.m., I’ll be holding an albatross painting workshop at the refuge. A few spots are still available.”
Two more classes are set for Saturday, Sept. 9. The first, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., will cover how to paint a monk seal. The second, 3:30 to 6 p.m., will be on painting a nene.
The $100 fee per class includes supplies.
