Margie Daenos Andres
Margie Daenos Andres, 59, of Eleele, passed away on Aug. 4, 2017.
Born on Feb. 22, 1958 in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she worked as a certified nurse aide with Garden Island Healthcare Center.
She was preceded in death by father Felix Daenos Sr., mother Melchora Daenos and brother Romeo Daenos.
She is survived by husband Gaudy Pindao Andres of Eleele, son Mark Anthony Daenos (Jennifer Tambio) Andres of Arizona, daughter Marjorie Ann Daenos Andres of Arizona, brother Felix “Vicky” (Josie) Daenos Jr. of the Philippines, sisters Lilia Daenos of England, Loubella (Federico) Miguel of England, Merliza (Rajid) Portugalite of Eleele, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Sept. 2, from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo, where Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
The family suggests casual attire.

Jessie Delos Santos Fernandez
Jessie Delos Santos Fernandez of Hanamaulu passed away in Wilcox Medical Center on Aug. 17, 2017, at the age of 45. He was born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on Feb. 17, 1972, and was employed as a landscaper with Kauai Ranch.
He is survived by daughter Haunani Jesslyn Fernandez of Oahu, parents Irineo and Rosita Fernandez of Hanamaulu, brother Joe (Lynn) Fernandez of Hanamaulu, sisters Janet (Johnny) Asuncion of Honolulu, Jenalyn (Kekoa) Shimizu of Honolulu, nieces and nephews R.J. Fernandez, Christian Fernandez, Shyann Fernandez, Jhon Asuncion, Jhaythan Asuncion, Jazmyne Shimizu and Kamrin Shimizu, and numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Sept. 7 at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.

Chiyeno Matsumoto
Chiyeno Matsumoto of Lihue passed away in Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on Aug. 11, 2017, at the age of 104. She was born in Lihue on Feb. 14, 1913, and retired from Hanamaulu Cafe as a waitress.
She was preceded in death by parents Kazue and Tsuchi Matsumoto, and brothers Shizuo Matsumoto, Kiyomi Matsumoto and Tsumoru Matsumoto.
She is survived by brother Satoshi (Grace) Matsumoto of Oahu, nephew William Matsumoto of Oahu, niece Janet (James) Araki of Oahu, and nephew Yoshihiro Matsumoto of Hiroshima, Japan.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Lihue Hongwanji Mission, with visitation from 3 p.m. and services beginning at 4 p.m.

Keith Holdeman
Keith Holdeman, 80, of Kalaheo, passed away at home Aug. 24, 2017.
Born on Jan. 17, 1937, in Goshen, Indiana, he was an electrical engineer.
He was preceded in death by parents Paul and Lillian Holdeman, and brothers Richard and Kenneth Holdeman.
He is survived by wife Edna Holdeman of Kalaheo, sons Eric (Uyen) Holdeman of Texas and Bruce Holdeman of Alaska, grandson Elijah Holdeman, brothers Kenton (Sue) Holdeman and Gilbert (Mary Ann) Holdeman of Indiana, and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Sept. 3, from 4 p.m. at Kalaheo Missionary Church, where services will be celebrated at 5 p.m.
The family requests that flowers be omitted.

Cristeta Beleno Nacis
Cristeta Beleno Nacis of Lihue passed away in Wilcox Medical Center on Aug. 19, 2017, at the age of 69. She was born in Manabo, Abra, Philippines, on April 1, 1948, and retired from Big Kmart jewelry department.
She is survived by husband Samuel Nacis, son Frederick Nacis of the Philippines, sisters Tina B. Bautista and Lyn (Sanguan) Putisan, niece Mathea Gandia, nephews Dennis (Dorothy) Bautista and Derrick (Emelita) Bautista, grand-nephews Thomas Cruz and Jhann Cruz, and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Aug. 31, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be held in the Philippines.

Kyle Athmore Olivas of Mililani Mauka passed away at his home on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at the age of 42.
Born on May 21, 1975, on Kauai, he was a chief dispatcher for Hawaiian Airlines.
He was preceeded in death by father Dexter Athmore Olivas of Kalaheo.
He is survived by his wife Aisha Uilani Olivas (Brede), sons Nohili and Kaliuwa‘a Olivas of Mililani Mauka, mother Eunice Olivas (Kubota), sister Jamie Olivas and brother Jon Olivas of Kalaheo.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, at Anahola farmlots, 4460 Hokualele Rd. Visitation is at 1 p.m., services at 2 p.m., with kaukau to follow. The family suggests aloha or casual attire.
