Congratulations to artist Wyland on the completion of Phase II (that’s how Kerry Cecil described it) of the whale on the Kauai Village clock tower!
SuperCuts took advantage of the unveiling to have its managers Clare Lukich, Taylor Lopez and Michelle McFadden distributing free shopping bags, SuperCuts specials and samples in the parking lot.
Peggy Christensen, Stacey Chinen and Kailene Oliveros of Pro Service Hawaii had free cookies, water and even some giveaways and answers to shoppers’ questions, and Marlena Patterson of VIP Treats and Sweets (lychee muffins?) said her special was she was going to be open until 6 p.m.
Dave Hudcovic (soccer is right around the corner) and Asher Woulbroun had a great view of the clock tower when they broke for lunch from doing the floor at Coconut’s Fish Cafe (the website and posters say it’s opening soon!)
Daniel Degracia was busy setting up the stage before heading south to set up the movie projectors, and Mike Martinez of State Farm missed out on the excitement because he was off-island for a business meeting.
OK, off to the Waipa Music and Mango Festival!
