Kanon Douglas, Ryder Kaui, Alexander Nelson, and Kyle DuVall topped the riders at the Kauai Moto Cross Association’s final race of the year at the Wailua motocross track Sunday.
Devin Parado, KMXA president, said the racers took advantage of a new track layout for the final race of this year.
“We started a GoFundMe campaign which helped us raise enough money to rent machinery to do a new track layout,” Parado said. “Sunday was our first race on the new layout and our last race of this season. The race has built momentum for us heading into our annual State Invitational Race during the Labor Day weekend. This is our biggest race of the year.”
Douglas opened the day topping the 250A and the 450A classes while Nelson picked up top honors in the 85A and the BBB classes.
Kaui topped the highly competitive 250B class before going on to take the Big Bike Open class, and DuVall captured honors in the Vets and Master classes.
