Aiko Nakaya
Aiko Nakaya, 88, passed away on June 29, 2017, in Waimea.
Born on April 23, 1929, in Sapporo, Japan, she was a retired tour guide with Kauai Island Tours.
She was preceded in death by husband Mitsuru Nakaya and son Stanley Nakaya.
She is survived by sons Allan (Ann) Nakaya of Las Vegas, Clyde Nakaya of Kauai and Glenn (Keiko) Nakaya of Honolulu, grandchildren Randal Nakaya, Grant Nakaya, Lauren (Peter) Fitterling, Jacklyn Nakaya, Nicholas Nakaya, Noe Nakaya and Naomi Nakaya, sisters Yoko Takahashi of Japan, Tomoko Ozaki of Japan, Yasushi Nakane of Japan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Aug. 5, at West Kauai Honpa Hongwanji, Waimea Temple, from 9 a.m., with services at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.

Marsha Mae Honnold
Marsha Mae Honnold, 74, of Santa Barbara, California, formerly of Kauai, was born on Oct. 6, 1942, and passed away on June 29, 2017, at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital. She was a world traveler and an elementary school teacher across the United States and Europe, as well as a mentor and trainer for teachers at the University of California at Santa Barbara.
She was preceded in death by parents Marcelino and Feliza Cuizon and brother Gene Cuizon.
She is survived by husband Greg Honnold Sr., sons Greg Honnold Jr. and Rich Honnold, grandchildren Kanani, Isabella, Drake and Dane, brother Dennis (Lynn) Cuizon, sisters Carmen Stagner and Suzette Cuizon, sister-in-law Gayle Cuizon, and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Services will begin at noon with internment to follow.
Shyden Likeke Kaniala Kaneholani-Ponte
Shyden Likeke Kaniala Kaneholani-Ponte of Wailua Houselots passed away at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children on July 18, 2017, at the age of 9. He was born in Lihue on Feb. 13, 2008, and was a student at Wilcox Elementary School.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents Alfred and Evelyn Reis and Herbert and Elizabeth Kaneholani.
He is survived by parents Bryon and Shy Ponte, sisters Brittney, Bryanna and Bryancie, brothers Shane and Shaisten, grandparents Fred and Sharon Ponte and Daniel and Evangeline Kaneholani, and numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Anahola Beach Park (Hawaiian Homes side), with viewing from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 11 a.m.

Patricia Ann Palama
Patricia Ann Palama, 74, of Kalaheo, passed away on July 23, 2017, at Wilcox Medical Center.
She was born on May 29, 1943, in Waimea.
She was preceded in death by parents Clem and Linda Reponte, siblings Clemente Reponte Jr., Robert Reponte and Frances Mc Guire, husband Thomas Palama, and her two children Tanya and Kaleo Palama.
She is survived by sons Lance (Maureen) Palama, Kimo Palama, Kawila (Desiree) Palama and Keola (Megan) Palama, all of Kalaheo, daughter Tara Palama of Kalaheo, grandchildren Kui (Shanelle), Kulia (Lono), Landon, Koa, Keanu (Trisha),
Kaweo, Lacey, Keani (Kyle), Reign, Hekili and Kahawailai, great-grandchildren Anuhea, Aleigha, Lawakua, Keale, Lanela and Haku, sisters Cindy (Leggie) Vinluan of Oahu, Tina Reponte of Maui, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Aug. 4, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
The family suggests aloha attire.

Linda May Louis Kanahele
Linda May Louis Kanahele, 54, of Hanapepe, passed away on July 13, 2017, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 11, 1962, on Kauai.
She is survived by her husband Danny Kanahele Sr., sons Evan (Renee) Louis, Danny (Taryn) Kanahele Jr. and Kaleb Kaiwi, daughters Caryn (Tony) Bernaldes, Kacee (Kawena) Kanahele, Dannlyn (Chelsie) Kanahele, Lacey (Ronald) Kanahele, Jada Bernaldes, Tori Pagador and Felecia Bernaldes, brother Jerry (Reiko) Louis Jr., sisters Jerrlyn (George) Gregory, Monica (Angel) Louis-Alayvilla, Aloha (Charlie) Kaliloa and Lorna Brun, mother Marilyn Pacheco Louis, father Jerry (Sheila) Louis Sr., 13 grandchildren and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Borthwick Kauai Mortuary chapel in Koloa from 10 a.m., where services will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m.

Dr. Alan W. Robello
Dr. Alan W. Robello, 81, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 in Folsom, California.
He was born Aug. 5, 1935 in Eleele, the son of the late Frances Jardin and Jack Robello of Kalaheo. He graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1959 and received his dental degree from Loyola School of Dentistry in Chicago. He served as an Air Force captain and went on to practice dentistry in San Francisco before starting his dental practice in Sutter Creek, Calif., in 1966.
He is survived by sister Joyce Farrell and brothers-in-law Mike Farrell and Wallace Ferreira, spouses June Baines and Kim Gianandrea, sons Alan Wayne Robello Jr., Ron Robello and Justin Robello, daughters Elizabeth Robello and Renee Robello-Kladde, and four grandchildren.
Internment will be at Holy Cross Church Cemetery in Kalaheo on Saturday, Aug. 5, at 4 p.m.
Michael John Seeley
Michael John Seeley of Kekaha passed on July 15, 2017, at the age of 66. He was born in Los Angeles on Nov. 8, 1950, and retired as a construction engineer.
He was preceded in death by father Jack Seeley and brother Jim Seeley.
He is survived by mother Dorothy Seeley, sister Cindy Seeley, brother Jerry Seeley, sons Michael Timothy (Stamatea) Seeley of San Diego and Kelani Martin Seeley of Haleiwa, Oahu, daughters Jackie Alena (Joe) Seeley of Haleiwa and Zena Nastasha (Sark) Wetzel of Kaunakakai, Molokai, grandchildren Nativa Law, Kaimana Blakely-Seeley, Gage Eaton, Sasha Blakely-Seeley, Lehua-Kona Wetzel, Pueoonamakaokaha‘i Seeley Sullivan, Kakea Seeley-Saveedo and Makaihuwa’a Wetzel.
Services will be announced at a later date.

Concepcion ‘Connie’ Dela Pina Vidinha
Concepcion “Connie” Dela Pina Vidinha of Kalaheo died in Wilcox Medical Center on July 18, 2017, at the age of 91. She was born in Lihue on July 12, 1926, and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by son Richard “Dickie” Vidinha, and grandson Bron Vidinha.
She is survived by husband Richard Vidinha, sons Kurt Vidinha and Irvin (Ronnie Ramos) Vidinha, daughters Ida (John) Elliott, Colleen (Mike) Faye and Elisa (Rowland) Souza, grandchildren Tracy Searles, Malie Moran, Pierre Elliott, Harmoni Akau, Charles Elliott, William Elliott, Victor Elliott, Richard Alan Faye, Marissa Faye, Byron Vidinha, Napua Arruda, Kuulei Arruda, Ikaika Vidinha, Sanoe Souza and Kiani Souza, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, sister Maxine Sahut, daughter-in-law Joyce Vidinha, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Holy Cross Church, with viewing from 9 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Herbert Stanley Cambra
Herbert S. Cambra, 83, of Koloa, passed away on June 20, 2017. Born on Dec. 20, 1933, he was a retired truck driver for McBryde Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by wife Shirley M. Cambra and parents Alfred and May Cambra.
He is survived by daughters Marilyn (Montgomery) Pia and Dawn (Warren) Etrata, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends may visit with the family on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at St. Raphael Church in Koloa. Visitation is at 8 a.m., and Mass is at 10 a.m., with a luncheon to follow. Burial will be held after lunch at Kauai Memorial Gardens in Lihue.
