Edward Neumann Watson, Jr.
Edward Neumann Watson Jr., 63, of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away on July 17, 2017, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 1, 1954, in Pennsylvania. He was a maintenance worker with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Watson; son, Kainalu Morris; and father, Edward Watson, Sr.

Eloy Salvador Pascua
Eloy Salvador Pascua, 88, of Kekaha, Kauai, passed away on July 13, 2017, at his home. He was born on June 25, 1929, in Vira Laoag City, Philippines. He was a retired sugar cane cleaner-feeder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Narciso and Concordia Pascua; sisters, Encarnation and Catalina; brothers, Jaime and Luis; and grandsons, Matthew and Ferdinand.
He is survived by his wife, Leonarda Pascua of Kekaha; sons, Jacinto (Linda) Pascua of Kekaha, Victor (Fely) Pascua of Kekaha, Willy (Renee) Pascua of California, Benny (Jeneth) Pascua of California; daughter, Josie (Danilo) Pascual of Oahu; 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha public cemetery. Casual attire please.
Laurence Lyman Gates
Laurence Lyman Gates of Koloa passed on July 17, 2017, at the age of 81. He was born in Iowa on Nov. 3, 1935.
He is survived by his wife Erna Lyon-Gates.
Private services were held.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Gates family with arrangements.
Claire Lynn Eiko Ueno
Claire Lynn Eiko Ueno, 65, of Waimea, Kauai, passed away on July 15, 2017, at her home. She was born on Sept. 26, 1951, in Waimea, Kauai. She was a juvenile counselor with Kauai Police Department.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David K. and Clara Y. Ueno; and husband, Alvin Fukushima.
She is survived by her brother, Owen Ueno; sister, Lucil Kam; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and cousins.
