POIPU — The county Housing Agency will be hosting a community meeting Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Koloa Neighborhood Center to discuss plans for a new workforce housing development.
County housing officials and development partner Mark Development host the meeting, which will offer information on the project, Koae, proposed design for the project, details of the site location and information on how to apply for tenancy.
When completed, Koae will be 134 units with a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units. To reside at Koae, applicants are required to have a household income that does not exceed 60 percent of Kauai’s area median income.
Koae is targeted to break ground in 2018 and is expected to take two years to complete.
