Bruna Stude of galerie 103 (be sure to greet Brolie – he even has his own social media site with more than 700 friends) is having an “In Between” exhibit, and guess what? Roberta Griffith (she has her Honolulu Museum of Art opening next Friday) has her “Pre-Columbian Odyssey: Virgins of Xochitecatl” on exhibit featuring ceramic figures (she doesn’t just do plates and cups) of a people who evolved in Mesoamerica, including Hawaii, and elsewhere in the world.
Aletha Thomas of Monkeypod Jam (we missed the monkeypod blooms, again) said it’s summer, and Elvrine Chow of Heavenly Haku said Jennifer Ortal got her head lei because she’s going traveling. Helen Lacono (she got to taste some of the kalbi, and even get some for granddaughter Ku‘u Breen) had guests from California, and Ada Koene didn’t stop by after work.
