Lucy Barretto Freitas
Lucy Barretto Freitas, born Sept. 1, 1923, passed away on June 28, 2017, at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital. She was 93, a housewife and seasonal worker at Hawaiian Fruit Packers.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Freitas, son Anthony G. Freitas Sr., and her parents Joe and Lorinda Barretto.
She is survived by sons Jerome W. Freitas Sr. of Kealia and Steven M. (Lorna) Freitas of Kalaheo, daughters Patricia (Richard) Victorino of Wailua, Charlotte (Ronnie) Romero of Puhi and Paulette (Rodney) Bristol of Wailua, brothers John F. (Carol) Barretto Sr., Alfred “Tony” Barretto and Robert (Norma) Barretto, and sister Alice (Archie) Fontanilla
She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at St Catherine Church on July 22, 2017, with visitation from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by Mass. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery.
