Magical Storyteller Yasu Ishida will be the featured artist for the Summer Reading Program at selected public libraries statewide Tuesday through July 15.
Ishida will present three different storytelling programs incorporating magic and origami: “Story Circus,” “Origami in Motion,” and “Wondrous Stories Through Magical Papers.”
“These free programs will amaze, dazzle and delight participants as Ishida makes the stories come alive,” said a press release.
Children will even learn a simple magic trick to perform at home.
Preschoolers through fifth graders are invited to these 45-minute programs and must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver:
Ishida will perform “Wondrous Stories Through Magical Papers” 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Lihue Public Library. “Story Circus” will be performed 10:30 a.m. at the Princeville Public Library.
