LIHUE — Kauai County Council Chair Mel Rapozo will give an overview of the county’s fiscal year 2017-18 budget at the Lihue Business Association meeting, 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday at Duke’s Canoe Club.
Rapozo will talk about where and how the money is to be spent, and the direction those funds are taking Kauai County.
The Kauai County Council recently approved a $201.5 million budget.
Rapozo may also share his reactions to the Legislature’s discussions about the Transient Accommodations Tax during the session that ended in May and the Kauai General Plan Update approved by the Planning Commission.
