Douglas Kenji Keone Kawakami of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on June 5, 2017, at the age of 47. He was born on Oct. 26, 1969.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Charles and Arlene Kawakami.
He is survived by: his dogs, Zoey, Kira and Hana, brothers, Craig (Renee) Kawakami of Lihue, Derek (Monica) Kawakami of Lihue, and numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 21, at Lihue Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Services to follow.

Arnolfo Magayano Balaan, 93 years old of Koloa, Kauai passed away on May 20, 2017, at his home in Koloa. He was born on July 1, 1923, in the Philippines and was a retired Landscaper with Kauai Nursery.
He is survived by his 5 sons: Henry Balaan of Koloa, Raynaldo (Ofelia) Balaan of Koloa, Romy (Evelyn) Balaan of Koloa, Mark (Nonie) Balaan of Koloa, Teddy Balaan of Koloa; daughter: Norlyn (Drake) Fuerte of Kailua; sisters: Emalia Respicio, Carol Hafalla, Lucena Rivera and numerous nieces, nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 8 to 9:45 a.m. Where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Burial to follow at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park Cemetery. Casual attire.
