PRINCEVILLE — Author Bill Fernandez will share stories about his early years on Kauai and describe his memoirs during a presentation June 14 at the Princeville Public Library.
Born and raised in Kapaa, Fernandez returned to his childhood home after working as an attorney and retiring as a judge in California, and serving as mayor.
The former president of the Kauai Historical Society, his books include “Rainbows Over Kapaa,” “Kauai Kids in Peace War,” “Hawaii in War and Peace,” “Cult of Ku” and “John Tana: An Adventure Novel of Old Hawaii.”
Fernandez will add a little singing to his PowerPoint slide show. The free program will be 5 to 6:30 p.m. It is sponsored by the Friends of the North Shore Library at Princeville as part of the Dotty Nakea Memorial Speaker Program and by the Princeville Public Library.
