The 37th annual Haena to Hanalei eight-mile run/walk and five-kilometer fun run is set for Saturday.
The courses stretches from Ke‘e Beach to Hanalei on Kuhio Highway. Runners will pass over one-way bridges, enjoy ocean views and climb some steep hills along Kauai’s North Shore.
A shuttle bus takes participants to the starting line in Haena, leaving the Hanalei Pier starting at 4:45 a.m. The five-kilometer run and youth run start at 7 a.m. at the pier.
Entry fee is $50 on race day. It is a fundraiser for the Hanalei Canoe Club.
