LIHUE — This is the final week of the school year, said Tina Albao, operations director for the Boys & Girls Club.
“When workday called and asked if we would like to have a party, it was a perfect way to celebrate and reward the members’ year of accomplishments in their scholastic efforts as well as their extra enrichment activities at the BGCH.”
More than 50 volunteers from Workday transformed the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall into a mini-carnival, complete with an ice cream bar, outdoor games and activities, and a photo booth.
The group also donated $5,000 to enhance the programs at BGCH as well as provided numerous prizes for bingo cards which were filled in as more than a hundred BGCH members participated in activities.
Workday is a software company based in San Francisco producing computer programs for human resources and finances.
