LIHUE — Kauai Island Utility Cooperative crews will be working on Kuhio Highway just north of Hanalei today to repair damage to a pole that was struck by a vehicle last night.
The work will start around 10 a.m. near the first one-lane bridge just north of Hanalei town.
There is no estimate to how long the repair might take. Flagmen will be on scene to direct traffic. Please use caution when driving through the area.
The single-vehicle accident, which occurred at 10:50 p.m. on Sunday evening, caused a power outage for some customers in the area for several hours.
