Masako Tamura
Masako Tamura of Puhi, Hawai’i passed away on April 13, 2017, at the age of 92 in Lihue, Kaua’i, Hawai’i. Born on Feb. 12, 1925, in Lihue, Kaua’i, Hawai’i, she was a retired housekeeper.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Teruyoshi Tamura.
Masako is survived by her sons, Stanley (Darlene) Tamura of Hilo, Hawai’i and Patrick (Evelyn) Tamura of Boise, Idaho; daughters, Joyce (Stanley) Yamane of Jacksonville, Florida and Evelyn Tomari of Mililani, Hawai’i; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grand; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services will be held.
The family requests no monetary gifts.

Beverly “Ema” L. Furfaro of Hanalei Kauai, Hawaii passed away on April 16, 2017, at the age of 67. Born on March 1, 1950, she was a secretary for Princeville Corporation.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Henry and Judy Gomez; sister, Marilyn Wong Keoho.
She is survived by husband, Jay Furfaro; daughters, Nicole Furfaro, Jennifer “Jenna” (Chuck) Gillis, Marissa “Missy” (Kailoa) Harman; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Lauren Lui-Kwan, Donna Malia (Jeff Powers) Gomez; brother, Bob (Helene) Gomez and numerous aunties and uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Prince Club House, Princeville. Visitation 11 a.m.
Service at noon. Refreshments to follow.

Vicki Gail Scott of Lihue passed away on Saturday, April 8, at the age of 80. She was born in Austin, Texas on Oct. 20, 1936. A Texas lottery executive, Vicki retired and lived on Kauai.
She is survived by her daughter Sheri (Edd Schepker) Knapp of Kauai; her son Dustin Knapp of Texas; 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Family held private services were held.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Scott family with arrangements.
Hartwell Henry Kalaniohawaii Blake
Hartwell Henry Kalaniohawaii Blake of Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on April 22, 2017, at Garden Island Health Care at the age of 72. Born on July 19, 1944, in Koloa, Kauai, he was a retired Attorney, United States Army, First Lieutenant, Vietnam War Veteran.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Hartwell and Grace Blake.
He is survived by wife, Yvette Blake; son, Caanan (Jocelin) Blake; daughter, Courtney (Iven) Sugai; 5 grandchildren; sister, Patricia (George) Blake-Silva; brother, Teddy (Tatiana) Blake, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at The Old Koloa Church.
Visitation 8:15 a.m. Service at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Church Cemetery. Leis are welcomed.

Isaac Kaluna Kaai of Kapaa Kauai, Hawaii passed away at age of 72 on April 14, 2017. Born on Aug. 3, 1944, on the Island of Kauai he was a security officer.
He was preceded in death by father, Solomon Kaai; mother, Annie Wood Hussey; brothers, Ernest, Kenneth, sister, Anna Erlandiz.
He is survived by brothers, Solomon Kaai, Nelson Kaai, Allan Kapali; sisters, Mary Kekuewa, Charlotte Kaai, Charlene Molsbarger; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
