What in the world?
Cyrus Fujimoto (nope, no relation) was playing with a fancy spinning toy Saturday while waiting on the start of the March for Babies (kudos to Cheryl Ann Farrell and Juno Ann Apalla on a great event!), Saturday at Lydgate Park.
Cyrus was learning how to make eggplant (this year’s featured vegetable for the Kauai County Farm Bureau Fair) planters at last week’s Diabetes 101 workshop at Wilcox Health. He said he was planning on getting to the Garden Fair (great job on another successful outing, Laurie Ho, Melissa McFerrin-Warrack, and Omar the Tent Man, aka Kelly Gooding!) after the walk.
Dr. Addison Bulosan was out in force with Dr. Kaci Manion (she was an honorary chair for the March for Babies) and Daphne Sanchez. Justin Kollar (he’s the other honorary chair) was getting around despite his crutches.
Pauline Viernes (how did the selfie come out?) said she only walked with Wilcox Health when they did walks for charitable causes, and Kyra Koerte of Girl Scout Troop 823 was walking because her mother was involved with one of the teams.
Her Scout sisters (how many Girl Scout troops?) were engaged with the dancers, but will be ready to “plant” Child Abuse awareness blue pinwheels Wednesday at the Kauai District Health offices.
