Offering a full range of optometry services, Punzal Vision is owned and operated by Dr. Joel Punzal, and also offers late-afternoon hours and Saturday appointments.
Ernest Punzal and Joyce Punzal, Dr. Joel Punzal’s parents, and uncle Onio Punzal, were integrated into the blessing, where Dr. Joel Punzal introduced the Punzal Vision staff that includes Chief Financial Officer Brity Punzal, Optician Karl Oshiro, practice manager Puanani Cobb-Adams, support services manager Lehua Watanabe, ophthalmic assistant Casey Segawa, optometric intern Bradley Mendoza, Amanda Limpert and Tianne Castillo.
Punzal Vision provides comprehensive, medically driven eye examinations and participates with many different insurance plans. It also offers same-day eyewear, contact lens ordering, and co-management of refractive surgery with Aloha Laser Vision on Oahu.
Dr. Joel Punzal, voted Best of Kauai Optometrist in The Garden Island newspaper for the years 2010-2013, 2015 and 2016, is able to help all age groups from infant to geriatric patients. He diagnoses and treats eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, vitreous floaters and red eyes.
He is a member of the Hawaii Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and is certified in diagnostic and therapeutic ocular pharmacology.
Normal business hours are Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. once all of the construction is completed.
