Stella Trinidad Kaiulani Lindsey Duarte
Stella Trinidad Kaiulani Lindsey Duarte, 76, of Puhi, Kauai, passed away on March 8, 2017, at Wilcox Medical Center. Born on Jan. 25, 1941, in Lihue, Kauai she was a sales clerk with Walmart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Victoria Lindsey; daughter Rae Ella Duarte; brothers, Edwin, Stanford and Silas Lindsey; and her sister Vicky Lindsey.
She is survived by her husband Raymond R. Duarte; son Raymond K. (Theresa) Duarte; sisters Healani Mandrigues and Debbie (Kula) Schumacher; grandchildren Jessica (Kaeo) Tai, Lindsey Duarte and Raymond M. Duarte; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lihue Ward, at 4580 Ehiku St. from 9 to 9:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Private inurnment will be held at a later time. Casual attire. Flowers omitted but lei are welcome.
Jeffery Schumacher
Jeffery H. Schumacher passed away at the age of 59 in Lihue on March 7, 2017. He was born on June 29, 1957, in Lihue and was an inspector and construction manager for the Airport Division at the Lihue Airport.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl W. Schumacher Jr., and brother, Gene L. Schumacher.
He is survived by his mother, Ululani J.P. Schumacher; brother, Carl (Annie) W. Schumacher III; nephew, Kyle A. (Keri) Schumacher; and grand-niece, Skye L. Schumacher.
Worship service will be held on Saturday, April 1, at Lihue Parish Hall, 4340 Nawiliwili Road, behind King Auto. Visitation for the family is at 8 a.m., and for friends at 9 a.m. with services at 10 a.m. Private inurnment will be held at a later time.
Ernest Walter Johnston
Ernest Walter Johnston of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on March 7, 2017, at the age of 73. He was born on April 27, 1943, in New Jersey City, New Jersey. He was a sole proprietor of Johnston Financial Services.
He was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Leone Johnston.
He is survived by wife, Evelyn Johnston, Lihue; daughters, Sandra Na’ihe, Anahola, Gail (Doug) Fox, Michigan, Crystal (Mark) Ozaki, Kalaheo, Renee (Scott) Hieb, Washington, Wendy (Dante) Casillas, Kalaheo, Janel Hercules, Honolulu, Ashley (Bryce) Johnson, Kalaheo; son, Ernest Johnston Jr., Koloa; brothers, Robert (Sue) Johnston, Georgia, Glenn Johnston, California; and 22 grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family Saturday, April 1, 2017. Viewing at 8:30 a.m. Service at 9:30 a.m. at Koloa Missionary Church. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.

Audrey Mae Healani Akuna
Audrey Mae Healani Akuna of Koloa passed away peacefully at home on March 16, at the age of 58. She was born in Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clara Taniguchi and Jack Akuna.
Audrey is survived by her children, Brandee Mayimoto, Justin and Jade Lee, Hal Martin and Kaylen Akuna; sisters, Stephanie and Ermine Akuna; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
