Oscar Canciller Portugal
Oscar Canciller Portugal of Lihue passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 17, at the age of 71. He was born on March 1, 1946, and retired from the County of Kauai as County Surveyor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Godofredo and Josefa Canciller Portugal, brothers, Romeo and Gilfredo Portugal.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Anabel Portugal; daughter, Jennifer (Stephen) Sandrowski of Lihue; son, Prince (Michelle) Portugal of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Christian, Ka’Ayla and Keeanu; brothers, Cesar (Carmen) Portugal Of Lihue, Jose (Sonia) Portugal of California; sisters, Grace Portugal Perdigon of the Philippines, Maria (Robert) Warner of Honolulu; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, March 27, at Immaculate Conception Church in Lihue with viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Shiloh Roshan Simbre-Medeiros of Kekaha, Hawaii passed away at the age of 18 on March 11, 2017, in Poipu. Born on Jan. 20, 1999, in Lihue, Kaua’i he was working at Ele’ele McDonald’s in the food service industry.
He is survived by his parents, Wayne A. Medeiros and Shirley R. Simbre-Medeiros’ birth parents, Shirlet Abergas and Steven Saflor; brothers, Scott Simbre-Medeiros of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cyrus Simbre-Medeiros of Hohenfels, Germany, Shayne Simbre-Medeiros of Kekaha, Kaua’i, Johnnie Simbre of Hanapepe, Kaua’i, and Francis Abergas of O’ahu; sisters, Erica Santiago-Abergas of Puhi, Kaua’i, Courtney Espiritu Rapozo of Lihue, Kaua’i, Jessica Giron-Abergas of Makakilo, O’ahu, Shelsy Simbre-Medeiros of Kekaha, Kaua’i, Laorencia Abergas of Kekaha, Kaua’i, and Alicia Abergas-Spriggs of Wailua, Kaua’i; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the St. Theresa Church in Kekaha from 9 to 11 a.m. with Mass to follow.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers are being omitted.

Francisca Alicuman Gray of Hanamaulu peacefully passed away on March 6, 2017, at the age of 78. She was born in Tuguegarao, Philippines on Sept. 17, 1938, and retired from Kapaa Sands as a Housekeeper.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marcial Gray; parents, Benito and Semiona Alicuman.
Francisca is survived by her sons, George Gray, Reynald Gray, Alfred (Ursula Langtad) Gray all of Hanamaulu; daughter, Justina (Sam) Bombay of Nevada; 3 grandchildren, Geordan Gray, Aaryn Gray, Justin Bombay; sister, Cornelia Malana of the Philippines; sister-in-law, Gloria Gray; brother-in-law, Jose (Virginia) Gray, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on April 1, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
