This is your last chance for Girl Scout cookies until next year, said Hailey Johnston of Girl Scout Troop 1049, Koloa. Hailey (her favorite is Trefoils because it is a shortbread and you are able to do a lot with it besides enjoying it as a cookie) was out Monday, the first day of spring break, and said they’ll be doing their last booth sales this weekend.
Alexis Cacabelos (she was helping at the Women Veterans Workshop) said their troop (Girl Scout Troop 823) did their last booth sales last weekend. Kyla Koerte of Troop 823 did booth sales, and went one better by helping at the “Have A Rice Day” promotion at Safeway Hokulei Village.
Anna Broyles was busy cheerleading Friday night and got to help mom Julie Broyles at the Women Veterans Workshop (Ed Kawamura Sr. loved that Pono Neuro chair), and Britney Akau of Troop 823 was also helping at the workshop (Teresa Caires said she didn’t realize her county Agency on Elderly Affairs people would be there, too).
Kudos to Mona Lee and the county employees who hosted the bake sale (kalbi for lunch!) to benefit the Relay for Life team (is Donna Olivas going to be at the Lawai Cannery garage sale coordinated by Patty Ornellas for Relay for Life teams?).
