Sandi Kato-Klutke said the Oriental (what was the name of that fancy dish, Jolene Ogle?) breakfast theme during the Charity Walk kickoff was because of Chef Guy Higa. Great job, Paul Toner and his Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club

Great job, Paul Toner and his Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club ‘ohana on a great launch where Dickie Chang (Bruce Smalling was busy rolling video, but had time to grind) is already got his gears going on how to make this year’s goal.
The Charity Walk bowling (no wonder DJ Marv De Vera was so well-informed) is sold out, but there is still lots of time to sign up for the walk and get that nice (and soft) commemorative shirt. And don’t forget the Countdown to the Charity Walk, too!
Gloria West (were was Arlene Yoshimori) and Petronela Hendricks were busy keeping everything moving, and the culinary servers were well-versed in what was coming out (how about that Rainbow Bread?).
Happy birthday to Nalani Ka‘auwai Brun who got to render the national anthem and Hawaii state anthem on her birthday during Mayor Bernard Carvalho, Jr’s ninth State of the County address! Bradford Kaeo got a break from doing the oli since Puni Patrick did the honors, and what a treat to hear Kilipaki Vaughan and Paul Togioka play — together!
