Janet Irene Sheremeta
Janet Irene Sheremeta, 79, of Lihue, Kauai, passed away on March 14, 2017, at Hale Kupuna Nursing home. She was born on November 13, 1937 in Athabasca, Alberta, Canada.
She is survived by her children: Shirley (Ron), Nick (Cindy), Staci (Les), Tony (Anne), Doreen, Gary (Heather), Ted (Roseanne), Betty, Joey (Brigit) and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great grandchild, her sisters: Irene, Rose (Fred), Bernice (Henry), Karen (Pete) and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family!
She is pre-deceased by her two husbands, Henry and Nick, and her son Gordon.
Friends are welcome to join us on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 9 a.m. at Aloha Church, Lihue, Kauai for a Celebration of Life service. Burial will follow at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park Cemetery. Lunch to follow at Aloha Church. Everyone is invited to attend!

Lucena Rosqueta Nacnac of Ele’ele, Hawai’i passed away on March 9, 2017, at Kaua’i Veteran’s Memorial Hospital in Waimea, Kaua’i at the age of 71. Born on Sept. 26, 1945, in Dingras, Ilocos Norte in the Philippines, she was a retired housekeeper.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugenio Nacnac Sr.; parents, Pascual Rosqueta and Leonila Nacnac Rosqueta; and brothers, Arturo Rosqueta Sr. and Generosa Rosqueta.
Lucena is survived by her sons, Alejo Nacnac of Ele’ele, Kaua’i, Eugenio (Cheris) Nacnac Jr. of Lihue, Kaua’i, and Edwin (Melinda) Nacnac of Honolulu, O’ahu; three grandchildren, Mason Nacnac, Ryan Nacnac and Alyssa Nacnac; sister, Edna R. Soliven of the Philippines; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Hanapepe Church of Nazarene. Visitation will be from 8 to 9 a.m. with services beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be followed at the Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers are welcomed.
