WAIMEA — The Waimea Alumni and Friends Foundation will host its carnival Friday and Saturday from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Waimea High School front lawn.
Proceeds will benefit the various Waimea High School student-based organizations, the Waimea High School Parent Teacher Student Organization, and the WAFF, which provides scholarships to graduating seniors among other contributions to benefit WHS.
Tsunami Taiko will open the event Friday and will be joined by a number of local talents to fill both nights.
Dinner plate menu for Friday night include shoyu chicken or pork and peas. Saturday’s dinner benefits the Waimea High School Project Grad and includes a choice of pasteles stew or laulau plates.
Various school organizations will host a variety of keiki games as well as games for all ages in baseball, basketball, darts, duck pond, fish pond and more.
A country store will sell contributed baked goods, plants, vegetables and fresh produce, and a silent auction will feature rounds of golf, hotel accommodations, gift baskets and more.
There is no admission fee.
