PUHI — Island School’s high school team, middle school team, and a St. Catherine School middle school team will be representing the island of Kauai at the Hawaii State Science Olympiad that will be contested on March 4 on Oahu.
PUHI — Island School’s high school team, middle school team, and a St. Catherine School middle school team will be representing the island of Kauai at the Hawaii State Science Olympiad that will be contested on March 4 on Oahu.
The three teams were tops at the 9th annual Kauai Regional Science Olympiad at Kauai Community College and featured more than 80 middle school and high school students tackling a series of challenges in the areas of science, engineering, and technology.
The Kauai Elementary Science Olympiad Tournament will enjoy its second competitive outing on April 29 at the Kauai Community College with registration starting at 7:45 a.m.
Students in grades three to six will compete in a similar format in events such as Gunk Challenge, Pasta Tower, 3,2,1 Blast Off!, Mousetrap Vehicle, Science Sketchers, and more.
