The Poipu Beach Resort Association is hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration tonight at Poipu Beach Park.
The fun-filled family event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 6 p.m. It includes a movie in the park and culminates with a spectacular fireworks show at 8:15 pm. Food will be for sale.
The feature presentation is Disney’s “BFG – Big Friendly Giant” and will begin at 6:45 p.m.
The area has limited parking, so those planning to attend should arrive early.
As a safety precaution, the keiki lagoon at Poipu will be closed.
