Kudos to Cheyanne Mahuka who spearheaded the bone marrow drive for her friend Rochelle Pimental (her daughter Shaylia plays with Coach Mytra Mckeague and the Kapaa girls varsity soccer team). Ron Yonashiro (his relative is Nicole Okuna who works at the Sheraton Kauai Resort) came over for the Hawaii Bone Marrow Donor Registry, and Colleen Kaimina‘auao was able to get registered between the Island School preschoolers caroling.
Kudos, too, to Mariah Navor (she said her whole family was coming to be tested) who helped recruit donor registry after her cousin BJ Gaitos was diagnosed with cancer.
Melvin Momohara found out he was past the age for donating, but came to check out what was on the lunch menu (they had Roast Pork in the cafeteria, but that didn’t work since Rochelle showed up).
OK, time to catch up with Lenny Rapozo and the seniors football game.
