The Child & Family Service Kauai Guild, known as the Guildas, has kicked off its CFS Kaua‘i Holiday Giving Project.
Funds raised will be used to purchase gift cards for the children and families.
“The parents of children in need will have an opportunity to go holiday shopping with CFS staff to pick out the perfect gifts for their children,” said Micki Evslin, co-chair of the CFS Kauai Guild. “During the shopping trip, the parents will be guided to budget the funds to spend wisely and purchase meaningful gifts. Families who receive gift cards spend quality time together, bond as families, and are able to plan special times for those they care for most. It feels like we are giving to these families twice.”
Last year, the Guildas raised nearly $20,000 through this project.
