At 9:39 a.m. Friday, rainfall over Kauai has diminished but water levels in Hanalei River will remain high for several hours as water drains off slopes.
The Kalalau Trail, Napali Coast State Wilderness Park, Kauai, is closed due to flash flooding of the Hanakapiai Stream, according to Division of State Parks.
A flash flood warning means flooding is imminent or occurring in streams, roads and low-lying areas. The NWS advises to high to higher ground.
