Convenience stores in South Korea are growing by double digits as the single households are preferring to buy single serving meals versus bulk purchase at large retailers.
Food manufacturers are making a variety of prepared meals; the sales of instant microwave rice for single serving have also grown by double digits. Since the living area tends to be small for one person, home appliances are also trending to be smaller, convenient and more energy efficient. The single person travel segment is also one of the fastest-growing among travelers in South Korea as single households tends to spend on themselves.

Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Hwa-shin is anxious to get married soon, after he spends the night with Na-ri. But he is faced with unexpected opposition from Chi-yul. He is at the verge of demotion after voicing his own opinion during the news and ready to turn in his resignation.

Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Se-ri discovers Man-ho took out a loan from a loan shark and decides Mi-soon is the only person who can help them. Gyeong-ok asks Hae-ryung to look after the orphanage kids who await surgeries and she visits them at the hospital. Hyun-ki sees this at the hospital.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Hyun-ki refuses to divorce. At Hyun-ki’s solid refusal, Gyeong-ok and Young-eun press harder for the divorce. Hae-ryung gives support and courage to Ji-gun, who’s anxious over Yoon-ho’s surgery.
