Korean cuisine has been gaining popularity in Hawaii along with the popularity of K-dramas and K-pop.
KBFD has produced a three-part special report titled K-Food Wave in Hawaii which will air this Thanksgiving.
Part one will feature Chef Grant Sato from Kauai Communty College Culinary School who has developed his own fermentation secret using local ingredients. Chef Sato won the Global Taste of Korea cooking competition in Seoul in August of 2015.
Part two features KCC instructor Walter Rhee who educates and promotes Korean cooking to non-Koreans.
Part three will showcase students who are studying at KCC Culinary School and future chefs of Hawaii.
The three-part series will air this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 9:20 p.m. You will learn just how healthy Korean food is with all the vegetable ban chan and alternative ways to healthy cooking.

Monday, 7:45 p.m.: As Wang So’s revolt ensues, Queen Yoo demands the king to abdicate the throne to Prince Wang Jung. The king feels greatly betrayed by Queen Yoo. Wang So ascends the throne with the help from Queen Hwangbo and Yeon-hwa.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-mong tries to dissuade Hae Soo from marrying King Gwangjong, but she doesn’t give up. On the eve of the ritual, Hae Soo suggests the king to go outside. The two leave the palace and enjoy their time together.

Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Hwa-shin is surprised and disappointed by Na-ri’s response to his proposal. He tries even harder to win her over. Hwa-shin’s voice phishing scam is known to all of the Rock Villa family, throwing them into chaos. Hwa-shin sets a date to introduce Na-ri to his mother.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Hwa-shin falls into despair at the test results. He hesitates to tell Na-ri, who has only recently begun to show her feelings for him. The rumor that Na-ri suffers from breast cancer circulates.

Today, 6:30 p.m.: Unable to ignore Mal-nyun’s insistence that Gab-soon’s not at the temple, they head out to the temple to see for themselves. Joong-nyun, still not happy with Jae-soon’s husband, holds a birthday party at home and invites all family.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Gab-soon tells her sister, Jae-soon, how Gab-dol has changed since they started living together. Gab-soon breaks down in tears at the end. Gab-dol gets caught red-handed working at a restaurant and tells his sister everything.
‘Happy Home’

Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Se-ri discovers Man-ho took out a loan from a loan shark and decides Mi-soon is the only person who can help them. Gyeong-ok asks Hae-ryung to look after the orphanage kids who await surgeries and she visits them at the hospital. Hyun-ki sees this at the hospital.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Hyun-ki refuses to divorce. At his adamant refusal, Gyeong-ok and Young-eun press harder for a divorce. Hae-ryung gives support and courage to Ji-gun, who’s anxious over Yoon-ho’s surgery.
