LIHUE — Applications for The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree and Thanksgiving food assistance programs are being accepted starting Monday in Lihue.
Anyone seeking help is asked to bring a photo identification, birth certificate of children 12 and under living at home, proof of income and proof of monthly expenses.
Applicants are welcome at the Salvation Army Corps Community Center, 4182 Hardy St., 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, or 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
Thanksgiving application deadline is Nov. 18. Angel Tree deadline is Dec. 14.
The Salvation Army’s annual Thanksgiving luncheon is set for 11 a.m. Nov. 23 at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall.
