KALAHEO — Orientations for long-term volunteers at the South Shore location of the National Tropical Botanical Garden are being held every Friday for the next year.
Friday orientations are an opportunity to meet with the NTBG volunteer program coordinator, discover more about the NTBG mission, and find one of many ways to help activities at the gardens.
Volunteer activities include opportunities at the seed bank, gift shop, tour programs, horticulture nursery, herbarium and the library.
The goal of the orientations is to provide advanced training for positions at McBryde, Allerton and administration locations.
NTBG accepts single-day and visiting volunteers, but these orientations are specifically designed for longer-term volunteers.
Alternate days can be arranged for those who can’t make Friday classes.
