HANAPEPE — The death of a man found near Salt Pond Beach Tuesday has been ruled a homicide.
Police identified the body as 34-year-old Jon Togioka, of Kekaha.
No arrests have been made in the case, and detectives are asking anyone with information to come forward.
The investigation began Tuesday morning when a man was walking along the shoreline near Salt Pond and discovered Togioka’s unresponsive body and called 911, a release said.
Following an autopsy on Wednesday, his death was ruled a homicide.
