HANAPEPE — Kauai police are investigating an unattended death after a man was found unresponsive near Salt Pond in Hanapepe Tuesday morning.
The victim is described as a 34-year-old male believed to be from the Westside. His identity has not yet been released.
According to police, a man was walking along the shoreline shortly before 7 a.m. when he discovered the victim’s body and called 911.
Detectives are investigating the cause of the victim’s death.
