WAIMEA — More than 10 different kinds of alcohol and a night’s stay at Kauai Beach Resort are just a few of the things up for grabs at the Historic Waimea Theater on Saturday.
“Boos and Booze” is also a chance to don a costume, which you’ll have to do if you’re planning on winning that night’s stay at Kauai Beach Resort.
“You don’t have to enter the costume contest if you don’t want to, and there’s no extra charge to enter — it’s part of the fun,” said Laurie Yoshida, who is organizing Relay for Life Kauai fundraiser.
The night’s stay at Kauai Beach Resort is the grand prize for the costume contest.
But more prizes are available throughout the night in the form of drawings and everyone who attends will receive tickets for dinner, as well as alcohol tastings.
Live Fire Pizza and Yamato’s will be providing food and Johnson Brothers of Hawaii, Koloa Rum, Kauai Island Brewery and Ishihara Market are donating alcohol.
For dessert, Mailani’s Sweet Treats will be sampling out whoopee pies and another kind of festive dessert.
Tickets are $44 and can be purchased at www.teampurplepalooza.myevent.com. Boos and Booze will begin at 6 p.m. and people must be 21 or older to attend.
