LIHUE — The Friends of the Lihue Public Library will host its used book sale starting Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the library’s conference room on Hardy Street in Lihue.
“Proceeds from the sale help support the library with its programs and materials,” said Carolyn Larson, the Lihue Public Library librarian.
Larson said there is a nice group of Hawaiiana titles to choose from.
“We also have a good selection of teen books,” she said. “Cookbooks are always popular at the sale, and this time, we have a nice supply. We also have nice selections in sports, health and wellness titles, and the more rare small business management titles.”
Helping the Friends with the set up were four elders from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were hard at work unpacking titles and segregating the titles into their appropriate categories on Wednesday morning.
“This is the third year they’re helping us with the sale,” Larson said. “We truly appreciate their efforts at getting everything ready for customers.”
The sale continues on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and ends on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
