Congratulations to the Kauai High School boys, and the Waimea High School girls on winning their respective Kauai Interscholastic Federation titles! Waimea’s Khrysia Pascual tried to keep her nerves calm by doing the Orion Scoring System (Sean Magoun said thanks to a grant from the NRA, KIF is all standardized) with Noelle Oyama (coach said she doesn’t like to shoot, but can score really good).
It’s a good thing the title match was at Kalaheo Neighborhood Center because Kauai Coach Marcela Hornos said they’ll do a potluck after the match (Keane Caberto was looking for a knife to cut the cake) to celebrate the good season.
Kudos to Dr. Addison Bulosan of The Specific Chiropractic Center (he got brother Wesley of the Molokoa Food Co.) to crank out some sandwiches and clam chowder for the Kauai Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours, and John and John John Genovese did a great job auctioning off the prizes using “Chiropractic Bucks.”
