The Kauai High School bowling teams continued to lead the Kauai Interscholastic Federation bowling season after taking both the girls and boys matches Thursday at the Kauai Bowling Center.
Tia Rego rolled a 209 to lead the Red Raider girls to its 2,220 pinfall during the evening. The Waimea girls challenged with an 1,841 pinfall followed by the Kapaa girls rolling a 1,503.
In a scenario that was repeated from last week, the top bowler in the boys’ field hailed from Kapaa High School. Caleb Keohohou secured the high-point honor with a 203 game.
Despite that performance, Kapaa fell short with a 2,207 pinfall. Kauai boys finished first with a 2,582 pinfall. Waimea boys rounded out the line at 2,164.
Three more weeks remain in the KIF bowling season with the next match rolling on Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m.
