Kalani Young, bowling for the Kapaa High School boys team, rolled a 211 for high-point honors Thursday night during the Kauai Interscholastic Federation bowling matches.
But the effort could not stop Kauai High School as the Red Raider boys out-pinned the Warriors, 2,241 to 2,172. Waimea boys rounded out the night at 1,999.
Tia Rego of the Kauai High School girls finished with high score honors with a 182 pinfall to lead the Red Raider girls to a 2,035 team total over Waimea’s 1,775 and Kapaa’s 1,620.
The results put Kauai in the lead after the Red Raiders swept last week’s opener.
The next KIF bowling matches take place Thursday at the Kauai Bowl in the Rice Shopping Center starting at 5:30 p.m.
